(20+ hours) PT Part Time £8.50 ph TEMPORARY
We are looking for a friendly, laid-back assistant who is quick to learn and happy to work under their own initiative. The period of employment will be from late November until 23 December 2018, to provide extra support over the busy Christmas period.
Duties of this role will include making jewellery, preparing packaging materials, monitoring and organising stock, responding to customer enquiries via email, managing orders and packaging up and posting jewellery. This is a varied role and the successful applicant will also be asked to do other ad hoc tasks, so a flexible attitude towards work is essential.
Other essential qualities are reliability, flexibility with regards working hours and a very good standard of written English. This job also involves computer based work and so experience and confidence in this area is essential. A good eye for detail and a neat, thoughtful approach to work is also very important.
An interest in crafts or handiwork is advantageous, but no experience in jewellery making is required as we will provide training.
The successful candidate will be working from our studio in Morningside within a small, friendly team.
Working hours (with a typical shift lasting between 6 and 8 hours) may be assigned any time between 8am and 8pm, from Monday - Saturday. Flexibility and willingness to work within this timeframe is essential. Your application will not be considered if you have any arranged holidays between 20 November and 22 December.
If you wish to apply, please email your CV to email@example.com. Include a covering note telling us a little more about yourself and your interest in this role.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 14 October 2018.
Interviews will be held on Wednesday 24 October 2018 – please do not apply unless you are available for interview on this date!
